EC-PV EC induction jet fan for everyday car park ventilation
The EC-PV is a compact induction jet fan designed for everyday ventilation in car parks. It directs airflow through the parking area, helping to move polluted air towards the designated extract points.
The EC-PV features an energy-efficient EC motor and a low installation height. This makes it an attractive option for car park ventilation projects where energy consumption, available space and installation costs are key considerations.
The EC-PV is an ambient-duty version and is not designed for smoke and heat exhaust in the event of a fire. Is the fan intended for a smoke and heat exhaust system? Take a look at our AC car park jet fans designed for smoke and heat exhaust applications.
Our experience with induction jet fans since 2003
Ventispecial has been involved in the development of induction jet fans since 2003. We built the first prototype by hand, laying the foundations for the range of induction fans developed since then.
This experience is reflected in the compact design and the combination of thrust, energy efficiency and straightforward control.
EC technology for energy-efficient car park ventilation
The EC-PV uses EC motor technology, with integrated electronics that allow straightforward speed control. This makes it possible to adjust the fan speed to match the ventilation demand.
This is particularly useful for everyday ventilation: the fan does not need to run at full power when operating conditions do not require it.
The EC-PV is therefore a practical choice for car parks where low energy consumption and straightforward control are important.
Which EC-PV version is right for your car park?
The EC-PV range includes several versions, with the main difference being the thrust each fan can deliver.
The EC-PV 125 A delivers 7 N of thrust, making it suitable for applications where relatively low thrust is required.
The EC-PV 120 A Twin delivers 12 N of thrust and features two motor-impeller assemblies. It is an interesting option when 7 N is not sufficient, but the 25 N thrust of the EC-PV 220 A is not required. The EC-PV Twin provides an intermediate option within the range, combining a compact design with two EC motors.
For applications requiring greater thrust, the range includes the EC-PV 220 A with 25 N and the EC-PV 250 A with 50 N. These versions are intended for situations where higher thrust is needed to direct airflow through the car park.
Selecting the right version involves more than comparing fan sizes. The required thrust depends on factors such as the car park layout, desired airflow pattern, fan positions and extract point locations. We therefore consider the overall ventilation concept when helping you select the appropriate version.
In short: the EC-PV 125 A is the compact 7 N version, the Twin delivers 12 N using two motor-impeller assemblies, and the EC-PV 220 A and 250 A are the higher-thrust versions, delivering 25 N and 50 N respectively.

Standard design and available options
EC-PV car park jet fans are supplied as standard with a galvanised steel casing. Depending on the application, various configurations and options are available:
- Galvanised steel construction
- Optional RAL colour coating
- Backward-curved impeller
- Straightforward speed control through EC technology
- Energy-efficient EC motor
- Low installation height
The combination of a compact design and high thrust makes these fans suitable for installation above parking bays or traffic lanes.
Benefits of the EC-PV
Lower energy consumption
The EC motor offers high efficiency and adjustable speed. This can help reduce energy consumption during everyday ventilation.
Low installation height
The compact design allows installation above parking bays or traffic lanes. The low overall height can also help maximise the available headroom within the car park.
Straightforward control
Integrated EC technology makes the fan easy to control and regulate.
Reduced cabling requirements
Integrated control electronics can reduce the amount of cabling and cable trunking required compared with systems that use separate drive and control components.
Potentially faster installation
The compact fan design and reduced cabling requirements can help shorten installation time.
Compact control equipment
The integrated EC technology allows for a compact control equipment arrangement.
Accessible for maintenance
The motor and impeller are readily accessible for inspection and maintenance.
High thrust in a compact design
The EC-PV is designed to deliver directed airflow using a relatively compact unit.
Lower transport and storage requirements
The compact dimensions also reduce the space needed for transport and temporary storage.
EC for everyday ventilation, AC for smoke and heat exhaust
The EC-PV is designed for ambient-duty applications, including everyday car park ventilation. It is not intended for smoke and heat exhaust in the event of a fire.
For car parks where the fans also form part of a smoke and heat exhaust system, a different fan version is required. See our AC car park jet fans for smoke and heat exhaust.
